As opposed to Nova Scotia smoked salmon, hot-smoked is a bit meatier, closer to cooked salmon. We’ve taken to keeping some in our fridge at home at all times as it does not require any cooking at all, which makes it a perfect to use when you just don’t want to cook anymore! Pro tip: Place the sealed bag directly into a bowl of hot water in order to heat it up before opening.
