Capers & caperberries have been cultivated since ancient times and can be found throughout the entire Mediterranean region. Caperberries are the fruit of the caper bush while the smaller capers that we are more familiar with are the unopened buds of the bush. These caperberries are harvested when ripe, which means they are sweet and soft in texture.
You can serve caperberries just like you would olives. They are a nice and unique addition to any cheese board. You can even add them to cocktails like you would onions or olives.
Ingredients: Capers, water, sugar, wine vinegar, salt.
